Part of a wider regeneration scheme to create an urban village
on the eastern side of Plymouth, this scheme provides affordable
housing close to the Plymouth waterfront, enticing people back
into the city and reducing car dependence.

Commissioned originally by the Sutton Partnership, a joint
venture between Plymouth City Council and the Sutton Harbour
Company, the scheme of eight rented and twenty-five shared
equity apartments and two shops was developed by Signpost
Housing Association (now Spectrum Housing Group).

The site is on a prominent location at the junction of two routes into historic
neighbourhoods of the City, The Barbican Approach and Sutton Road. The design addresses this important corner and is a marker in the townscape.
